JAUME BALAGUER CALLAU

 

​If we consider that the wine is an artwork we cannot omit the artist, in this case, Jaume Balaguer. The teacher. 

Jaume has dedicated part of his life to the vineyard, firstly as a family tradition and later with René Barbier, with whom has archieved the highest level that a wine can aspire a rancid wine: archieve the 100 points in the ranking made by Robert Parker, the influentialst critic in the world. 

 

During the interview we could talk about the rancid wine but also about more things. 

FERRAN MESTRES VIZCAINO​

 

"The climb was an excuse for visiting Priorat", recognises Ferran who since was really young has visited Priorat, until 2000 decided to live there. 

Ferran is from Mataró, a village near Barcelona but it was in Priorat where he found the peacefulness and the tranquility he was searching for with his brother. He started his integration in a fruit's campaign and nowadays is the father of a family, a farmer and an employee of Scala Dei's Wine Shop. 

 

Priorat has also made that his passion for the literature had risen. He wrote El Curiós Món del Vi del Priorat. About the book and more other things we have spoken during the interview. 

L'ENTREVISTA

 

Priorat has been a source of inspiration for lots of artists. It has been a refuge for those who were looking the peace and it has been the life for those who were dedicated in the vineyard.
